Last week, we got things for the food people, the beauty-lovers, the home decor fanatics, and the kids in our lives. This week, we’ll shine the shopping spotlight on our friends and family who love books, trips, and experiences, and on what to stuff in various stockings.
How are you feeling about the fact that Thanksgiving is in two days? Starting to break out in a light sweat already or doing ok? Have you made the gravy and cranberry sauce ahead of time like I told you to? Is your homemade pie crust chilling in the freezer? Or did you read that newsletter and just kind of chuckle and go, ‘cute, Nicole,’ and go for a store-bought Thanksgiving dinner? (Also fine!) I’d love to see what you make, how you serve it all, the works.
One bit of vital comic relief for the holiday season and away we go with many links…
BOOKS
Bookish never looked so good
Gift them one or a couple of the year’s bestselling books: Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, Afterlives, Horse, The Passenger, I’m Glad My Mom is Dead, or Lessons in Chemistry. Or gift them one of your all-time favorites! (I’ve given many copies of Circe in my time.)
Put those books into a really cute book tote from Out of Print, a company that donates books to communities in need.
Or a beautiful coffee table book they can show off: Holiday: The Best Travel Magazine There Ever Was, Patina Modern, The Space Shuttle, Jimi, or Gray Malin: The Essential Collection (which, fun fact, has his complete photo series of me in the first chapter!)
